Easy to apply Sort command if you have Classic Menu for Office
If you can’t get used to Microsoft Excel 2007/2010/2013/2016/2019 Ribbon, you can try Classic Menu for Office. If you are missing those old methods adapted in Microsoft Excel 2003, Classic Menu for Office can help you with by bringing back old menus and toolbars into the Ribbon user interface. With it, there are two methods to get the Sort commandyou can easily access the sort command as you did in Excel 2003/XP(2002)/2000 according to the following methods:
Method A: Sort button in Excel 2007/2010/2013’s old Toolbar if you have Classic Menu for Office
Under the Menus, you will get the old toolbars of Microsoft Excel 2003 in Excel 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 and 365 Ribbon. Same as Excel 2003’s toolbar, you can get the Sort button in it directly:

Method B: Sort command in Data Menu if you have Classic Menu for Office
You can follow the same steps that you did in Microsoft Excel 2003 to find out the Sort command:
- Click Menus tab;
- Click the Data drop down menu;
- Then you will view the Sort command staying in the first of Data Menu drop down list.

Get Sort button in Excel 2007/2010/2013/2016/2019 Ribbon if you do not have Classic Menu for Office
In Microsoft Excel 2007/2010/2013/2016/2019 Ribbon, there are also two methods to find out the Sort button;
Method A: Sort button in Home tab
In the Editing group under Home tab, you will easily get the Sort & Filter button. Click the drop down button besides Sort & Filter button, and then you will get more sorting options: Sort A to Z, Sort Z to A, and Custom Sort.

Method B: Sort button in Data tab
Go to the Sort & Filter group under Data tab, you will view three sorting button at ease: Sort A to Z button, Sort Z to A button, and Custom Sort button.
