How to Bring Back Classic Menus and Toolbars to Office 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016 and 365? |
When writing an article, we always need to know how many words we have written, and the detailed statistics of the article. Word Count is a useful tool for getting this thing done. Word 2003 is greatly different from Word 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 and 365. To get the Word Count function seems no as simple as it was before. This article focuses on how to find out the Word Count.
Use the familiar Word 2003 style in working with Word 2007, 2010, 2013, 2016, 2019 and 365 if you have Classic Menu for Word installed.
Just take Microsoft Word 2010 for example, which is as well as in Word 2007 and 2013. With Classic Menu for Word installed, you can click Menus tab to get back the classic style interface.

- Choose Word Count in the drop down menu

- Click Review tab
- Move to Proofing group
- Click Word Count icon to get the Statistics window

Or you can simply move to the Status Bar and find out the Word Count there. The following picture shows its position. Just click it and you can also see the Statistic pop-up window.
